Sessions will look different depending on a client’s unique needs. A typical session may include identifying and re-framing harmful narratives, naming and processing complex emotions, nurturing the creative self through expressive arts, co-regulating through gentle movement, acquiring tools to navigate conflict, and more.
Individual and Relationship Therapy sessions can last from 60 - 120 minutes based on need.
Insurance is not accepted currently. However, we can offer a superbill at the end of the month which can be submitted to insurance for reimbursement. Below are a list of questions that may be helpful to ask your insurance company:
1. Find out what percentage is covered for “out of network providers” or “non participating providers”.
2. Find out the “maximum allowed amount” per session. This is sometimes referred to as “reasonable and customary fees”.
3. Find out if you have a deductible for out of network providers and how much it is.
4. Find out if there is a difference in coverage for “parity” diagnoses and if so, repeat questions 1-3 for parity coverage clarification.
Frequency of sessions vary based on presenting issue and need.
Please let your therapist know as soon as possible that you will be running late. If you exceed the 15-minute grace period your session will be cancelled and you will be responsible for the full fee of the missed session.
There is a strict 48 hours cancellation and/or rescheduling policy. You are responsible for the full fee for the missed session unless there is an emergency.
You can start by booking a consultation. Consultations are free of charge and about 20 minutes in length; this is a chance for us to chat and see if we would be a good fit for therapy or I can provide you with other resources to help with your search for a clinician that feels right for you! You will have a chance to ask me any questions as well as share your expectations for therapy. Looking forward to hearing from you!
